Clevis joints (according to DIN 71751)

A clevis joint is a joint combing a clevis (DIN ISO 8140) and other parts: AFKB Joint - a combination of clevis and folding spring bolt - is characterized by quick mounting and removal without an assembly tool; A Joint - a combination of clevises, cotter bolts, washers and cotter pins - available in steel and stainless steel (Aisi 303 and Aisi 316L) - mounting and removal without an assembly tool.

Clevises serve a safe and reliable link between two moving components. The extensive standard collection in accordance with ISO 8140 / CETOP RP 102 P / DIN 71752 already covers a wide range of applications (right-handed threads, left-handed threads or fine-pitch threads), available in steel and stainless steel (Aisi 303 and Aisi 316L).

Angle joints DIN 71802

As well as coming with right-handed threads, angle joints in accordance with DIN 71802 are also offered with left-handed threads or fine-pitch threads. This also applies to ball sockets in accordance with DIN 71805 and ball studs in accordance with DIN 71803, available in steel and stainless steel (Aisi 303 and Aisi 316L).

Angle joints made from corrosion-resistant materials offer increased service lives even in the toughest environments

Guide elements of proven reliability, such as angle joints, are being asked to fulfil a growing range of important functions, including in aggressive environments. Special material combinations are needed in order to withstand these harsh conditions reliably during long-term use.

mbo Osswald is a specialist in this field and can offer the ideal solution: Angle joints and individual parts made from material 1.4305 (B.S. 303S22, Aisi 303) or material 1.4404 (B.S. 316S11, Aisi 316L). Naturally, the snap rings and circlips installed in the angle oint are also manufactured from stainless steel. Only thanks to this combination can users benefit from an extended product service life and avoid increased maintenance work, or even total component failure.

The service life of mechanical components can decrease rapidly under aggressive ambient conditions. This is also true of clevises in accordance with ISO 8140 / DIN 71752. These important linking elements used in many fields are, in addition to attacks from external sources, also exposed to the tensile, compressive, folding and shear forces generated by the application.

In order to prevent this shortening of service life, the clevises are now even better adapted to the installation environment, since clevises / clevis joints are now available in a new variant of stainless austenitic chrome-nickel-molybdenum steel 1.4404 (316S11, Aisi 316L) and material 1.4305 (B.S.303S22, Aisi 303).
