About us
esd electronics is an internationally operating company located in Hannover, Lower Saxony, Germany. esd develops and manufactures hardware and software for the industrial automation market with a focus on custom-specific solutions. This comprises the development of flat modules and systems based on PowerPC® as well as ARM® and Intel® processors. Furthermore esd is specialized in design of fieldbus systems such as CAN(CANopen, CAN-FD), PROFIBUS®, PROFINET® and EtherCAT®. The company develops plug-in card families like CompactPCI®, PMC, PCI, PCle®, VMEbus and XMC as well as USB devices. For most automation systems esd offers different standard and real-time operating systems. esd is constantly expanding its CAN FD product range. With the new product variants CPCIserial-CAN/402, XMC-CAN/402 and PMC-CAN/402, as well as the CAN-PCIe/402, the CAN-M.2/402 and the CAN-PCIeMini/402 and additionally the CAN-USB/400-FD and CAN-USB/3-FD modules.
esd has been developing EtherCAT Hardware and Software solutions since 2008. We offer standard SW products like EtherCAT Master, EtherCAT Workbench as well as the gateway CAN-EtherCAT, the bridge ECX-EC and Master selector modules. EtherCAT Slave stack and Slave hardware interfaces like ECS-PCIe/FPGA are also provided.
CAN FD interface plug-in boards and modules
esd electronics has expanded its CAN FD products range again. With the brand new CAN-USB/3-FD module and CAN-PN/2-FD gateway, other CAN products like CPCIserial-CAN/402-4-FD, the Mezzanine cards XMC-CAN/402-4-FD and PMC-CAN/402-4-FD, CAN-PCle/402-FD and CAN-PCIeMini/402-2-FD boards as well as CAN-USB/400-FD module are also provided in various form factors.

EtherCAT software and hardware products
esd electronics provides full range of products of EtherCAT. There are software products like the EtherCAT Master supporting various combinations of OS and CPU architecture, EtherCAT Slave stack to help customers to quickly develop their own Slave devices. the EtherCAT Workbench to be used to configure EtherCAT network. It also includes gateway product CAN-EtherCAT, bridge product ECX-EC, Slave interface ECS-PCIe/FPGA as well as Dual EtherCAT redundant master selector ECX-Master-Selector.
